Students and Parents please note that 2009-2010 Absence Waivers are granted only to students for the following reasons:

1. medical (the physician must specifically indicate the student could not be at school)
2. judicial (court dates)
3. and/or because of a death in the immediate family

**The student must attach all pertinent documentation to the absence waiver form.
** Absence Waivers should be requested during the grading period in which the absence occurred.

Please note as described in the 2009-2010 Northern Vance High School Student Handbook, students are allowed to miss up to 13 days. Which means the student/parent can request up to 5 absences to be waived, if the absences were a result of the three reasons mentioned above. If a student missed 14 or more days, prior approval from the principal in writing must have been granted.
